Another milestone event at Tiny Hearts Hospital ,Thanjavur.
A person who doesn’t need introduction, the master Paediatric Cardiac surgeon and Asia’s renowned Transplant surgeon Dr KR Balakrishnan at our premises , Tiny Hearts Hospital .
- The team of doctors in the event included Dr Anto Sahayaraj ( senior cardiothoraciac surgeon ), Dr Maniram Krishna ( Interventional Paediatric Cardiologist) , Dr Usha Nandini Maniram ( Fetal medicine / Fetal Cardiology specialist)
- We conducted a special " Heart failure camp" ( cardiomyopathy & pulmonary hypertension ). Many children from 5 Delta districts attended the camp.
- Children who will need "heart transplantation" were shortlisted and are heading for surgery with full financial support.
- Launch event / Inauguration of our dedicated " Cardiac Genetics Program"
- Not stopping with that! we had an academic feast - a Clinical meeting with interesting topics by all the faculties.
We are happy that we could bring highly specialised treatment and child health care to a two tier city at an affordable cost!

Excellent academic feast with fetal paediatric subspecialists – Dr Maniram ( Pediatric Cardiologist) , Dr Usha Nandini Maniram ( Fetal medicine specialist), Dr Karthik Balasubramanian ( neonatologist) , Dr Pradeep ( Geneticist) , Dr Karthik AN ( Neonatologist) .
It was very useful discussion to throw clarity for paediatricians and Newborn specialist regarding abnormality detected

Tiny Hearts Children’s Hospital & Rotary Club of Thanjavur joined hands to conduct breast and cervical cancer screening free camp.
We care for women health!
We conducted screening campaign for cervical cancer and breast cancer at our premises. A detailed Ultrasound , PAP smear and mammogram was done for all the women.
Many attended this camp and got benefitted!
A team of specialist doctors participated.
Clinical assessment and investigations ( mammogram, ultrasound and pap smear ) were done and many women got benefitted.
Cancer awareness speech was included to emphasize the prevalence of cancer, the importance of early detection by regular screening. We educates the public to help in reducing the social stigma and encouraging public participation in cancer diagnosis / awareness initiatives.

Birthday Celebration
Birthday celebration of one of our little patients operated at Tiny Hearts Hospital!

We organised several educational sessions to create awareness for the young mothers and to be mothers at Tiny Hearts Hospital.

Dr Usha Nandini Maniram vividly explained and cleared the doubts of the parents.

And the event’s highlight was a quiz conducted to assess the understanding of the audience.
Family support is crucial for a successful breastfeeding. Encouragement, practical help with household chores , positive attitude will improve the mother’s breastfeeding experience.It’s not just nutrition but also protects against infections and even long term illness.Also equally a baby on breastfeeding benefits mom by helping in returning to pre pregnancy weight , reducing the risk of cancer !
